Upon admission complaining of motor skill problem they keep asking me how much I drink, even took my girlfriend aside and ask her privately how much does he really drink after I already told them I don't drink. I was deteriorating rapidly after three days as they moved toward a diagnosis of stroke but found no evidence from the MRI as I was approaching respiratory failure. My girlfriend was leaving home to come to the hospital to see me when her phone rang, she is a volunteer fireman and it was just a fireman buddy on the caller ID so she almost didn't pick up. Talking to him she told of me and my symptoms and he said that sounds somewhat similar to my dad who was suffering with chronic Guillain-Barre which he never recovered.
