I don't exactly known this terminology or the Science behind it, but it could be that your son needs to decrease neutrophil-gelatinase-associated lipocalin (Lipocalin-2)? Another poster here has low number of neutrophils. I am not sure if this is connected since Lipocalin-2 levels have also been shown to increase in patients with a low number of neutrophils.
