I sure don't think you failed either. It's better to overeat on fruit than to go pig out on junk food.

I think breaking a fast correctly just takes practice. I do better in that department as time goes by. Now, if I fast longer than a few days I will go on a liquid fast/feast for several days. That definitely slows me down. I do get really hungry after I get out of ketosis and start drinking juices, but I know I am doing the right thing for my body. I just grin and bear the hunger. When I do it this way I don't feel the extreme hunger, when I do start eating again, that can sometimes come after a fast. Also, my body does not have a tendency to start gaining a lot of weight (like we can experience if we do not do things right) just what would be normal to gain back.
