Dry Fasting and the Brain

I was raised by my mother to dry fast once a year. Of course this fast was for spiritual reasons, but the dry fasting forum did cause me to revisit these ideas once again.

So I'm taking interest in both the health aspects and the spiritual in dry fasting.

Many years ago I came down with multiple sclerosis and a MRI showed that I had many brain lesions. I notice that when I fast, a heavy brain fog comes back over me, much like it did when the MS symptoms came upon me.

So if anyone has any ideas about how dry fasting affects the brain I would appreciate it.

I am aware that blood Sugar being too low can be an issue, but I was wondering if there were any other thoughts. Thanks
