Is that why the big dam of the three gorges of the Yanzhe river was built? Darn! I have always thought it was the stupidest idea. But to avoid the rocks? The Chinese government displaced millions of people (without paying much for their land or providing them with jobs in new cities), and flooded one of the most historical and scenically significant portion of the river, all that to avoid the "rocks"?? Talk about pointless actions!

Not that I ever had any hope for the Chinese government, but I thought even they could not be that dumb. Tweet
