I do feel for you. Since my TBI I have had this problem and often it becomes quite severe. What I recently found that improves my head pain is a natural combination known as Pain RX - by Hi Tech. Google it. It is not expensive. When my pain is bad it will knock it down to a very tolerable level and the low grade headaches are nearly completely wiped out.
I often find that packing my head in ice and taking something like Pain RX will help decrease it faster. You may find heat is more effective, it depends on the reason for the head pain. Hope this helps.
