Re: PLEASE HELP!! Candida Diet Prominent Leg Veins
That's funny, I have the same exact issue. After my battle with candida, all of the veins in my legs and hands turned dark blue and became very noticeable and swollen. Also the ones on my penis (pardon the TMI). My legs look like they aged 50 years since I had my candida health crash a few years ago, and they also swell very noticeably if I ride an airplane. I am only in my thirties. Until the candida crash my veins were invisible, not counting when they bulged after I lifted weights (which of course felt great because I was healthy then). My ankles used to be as skinny as Mike Tyson's in his prime. Since then they've thickened a lot.
I've been thinking long and hard about this lately. I think it has something to do with the aging/inflammation effect that candida has on the body. My wife tells me that my face aged 10 years instantly when I had my candida crash. It only makes sense that the rest of the body would age as well. Also, new research shows that vascular disease is related to inflammation (something to do with leptin). Inflammation = premature aging = venous insufficiency. At least that's what I'm thinking.
I'm currently trying to figure out a way to rejuvenate my venous system to try and get my legs looking somewhat normal looking again. I'm taking the probiotic plantarum 299v (reduces leptin), Jarrow Venous Optimizer, ACV, rutin, and Herb Pharm Healthy Veins. I'm also starting to apply DMSO and ACV topically to my legs (not at the same time). I'm hoping that something in this protocol will at least improve the appearance of my legs, because I love wearing shorts and cannot imagine being embarrassed by veiny legs when I'm not even 40 yet.
Hope something in the above helps your search for answers. Good luck (I need it too).
