Re: FDA targets free-range, pastured poultry and eggs

Hmph! How far in the corner do they plan on push'in people?!

When I was a kid we had about 20 Rhode Island Reds that were kept in a ~huge~ chicken wire enclosure. They couldn't roam or would have been eaten by foxes or coyotes. Those were good eggs. Did you ever see a triple yolk?

Once while playing in the coop I pulled down a board and mites literally poured over me like water... my brother, standing next to me, got it too. Mom wouldn't let us in the house so we took a bath in the livestock water trough! We also played in a muddy creek and threw cow chips at each other and Ugh! We were gross little kids... : ) Wish I'd had a zapper back then... We did have an electric fence that we'd see who could touch it for the longest... ?
