Those were the days when kids were kids, grandparents lived until they were near a century old, some made it to 100 and our parents gave us food we recognized, milk straight from the cow and eggs from 'the girls' in the coop. We knew where our food came from and often ate carrots and such right from the garden that was fertilized from manure out back of the barn. Doctors made house calls and we knew them by name, they attending our church and came for dinner; unless you were really sick or fell out of a tree, Doc didn't tend to you. Vaccines were unheard of, drugs were for really sick people; mostly you got some concoction your grandmother mixed up and it healed you.
So now the FDA decides our eggs aren't good enough, we need eggs from injected chickens fed fortified
Genetically-Modified-Organisms grain; weak pale yolks and watery whites, that is the new good. Sorry, not going to accept that. My girls are safe, and give me good dark yolks and thick whites, just like when I was a kid. Natural never changes.
