Re: 7th day of fast, sweet taste and feeling sick
Consider that a "cold" is actually the healing part of the equation. The equation goes roughly like this: congestion, imbalance, release, ie. cold (this is an oversimplification, but it's good enough)-- so the sickness part is actually the getting-wellness part. The opposite of how it might appear. (as can be often the case)
Some people feel that a cool enema every day helps to keep things exiting the system fast enough that the body does not get 'backed up'-- which is what's happening with the eyes, ears. . . I never have taken one, but I've also experienced some rather blah water-fasting days.
But consider also, that the body as a whole re-visits 'incomplete' illnesses that were suppressed or otherwise not allowed to go through their own sequence of elegant states along the return to balance. A "complete" illness always makes a body stronger--whereas the usual way we try to suppress or hurry everything has a way of pushing what we call symtoms into a chronic mode, where they reside just under the surface, and turn into things like low-grade feelings of unwellness. (and years on, more major manifestations) There is lots in the literature that says the
Water Fast only 'gets going' at about the 7th day.
The water can go through several taste changes. Enjoy it when it's "good". Have pateience when it's so-so.
Never break a
Water Fast when you are in 'cleansing' mode, as you are now. It is a sure sign you should leave the body alone, and let it complete its work. Better days are coming!
