That's soooooo funny. I am 38 and my mom started out reading Adel Davis books and insisted on vegetarian meals. Then she read "DPT a Shot in the Dark", and said no more to shots. YAHHHHHHH!!! So she made her own yogurt and granola as well, real crunchy mama. She was the herratic of the family. Every family's got at least one, you know who you are. : )

My best snack memory was *carob stars*. They were not all that tasty back then though.

What's really funny is that whole era of sort of trying to go back to what people were doing all along. Trying, to get away from poison that was introduced.

Being a "hippy" countered their made up culture, so to speak.--my take anyhow--
All I can say is, "That's Groovy".
