Re: Kids at the Playground
Neesay, I have a uneducated healthy kid-food story for ya:
My girls are in their early 30s today. I realized they both were lactose intolerant as babies and put them on raw cow milk in their bottles. From there, I realized my blonde-haired blue-eyed beauties were getting hyper as preschoolers and took them off soda, tea, white flour, candy, etc. They were fed hardy breakfast, good ole southern breakfast: bacon, eggs and cheese grits! (Good mama that I was!!) Then for lunch, I fixed 'em a baggy with dried fruits of the week, cheese, whole grain crackers of the 70s and gave 'em a covered cup of juice and let 'em eat this on the run, as they felt like it in the early afternoon.
One day, a neighbor young mama called and asked what the devil I had given her daughter in that bag. I told her. She informed me her daughter didn't like such stuff as that!!
*BIG GRIN* You reckon that's why her daughter came to my door any afternoon she was with my girls to get her lunch/snacks??
