Re: RePOOPulate fecal microbe transplantation

And isn't that that amazing that "medical science" is just now getting interested in gut flora!! Alternative health has known it is important for a long time, "we" just don't have the technology to investigate.

About the Fecal Transplant - where a baby's poop is given by enema to an adult who has, for eg., C. Difficile disease [which kills off elderly people by the 1000s every year in North America] and it cures their diarrhea.
My own Mother was near death several years ago due to C.Difficile, but the rest of my family were too squeamish about the proceedure to ask the doctor to do it. There were only a few doctors in Canada who would do it, and Mom happened to be in a hospital where one of them worked!!!
The moral of the story is that we have to work to get the mainstream to accept the importance of gut flora.

PS - Antibiotics are the opposite of probiotics.
