Re: My urine smells like idodine/chlorine
the lighter halogens displace the heavier ones in a 1:1 gradient. i believe this is by weight. therefore it takes a lot more iodine, the heaviest halogen and the heaviest biologically active element in the human body, to displace fluorine (the lightest), chlorine and bromine. a tiny bit of fluorine will scour the body of
Iodine except where biology is holding onto it, like in the thyroid. even then, without supplementation, its only a matter of time and its gone.
the general rule is avoid fluorine like the plague that it is and bromine as well. chlorine is needed and handled well by the body but i still shun it in its free state as in tap water and cleaners and swimming pools.
if the salt push is giving you stinky urine then i would suspect bromine. bromine is now ubiquitous due to its use as an ingredient in fire retardants. buildings, cars and planes have it. carpet and drapes and clothing and furniture have it. people who fly a lot are really exposed to it because they are freaked about fires on planes and they will periodically refresh the interior by spraying it down.
i mirrored these articles on this forum somewhere in case they were pulled in the increasingly orwellian world we live in, but they seem to still survive:

to combat halogen imbalance, take at least 100mg a day. that number is for
Lugols 5% taken in water on an empty stomach. if you are taking straight KI, take a lot more. 100mg is the bare minimum for anyone starting or maintaining
Iodine supplementation. any less is just teasing the dragon, and the dragon has some sharp teeth.
i have no qualms about sounding crazy by telling the absolute truth as i know it. halogen imbalance is ultimately on purpose. sick people are easier to control and worth a lot more money than well people.
