Re: poison ivy (help)

As a lifelong sufferer of poison ivy, I find it interesting to see/hear that one's sensitivity to poison ivy is related to an iron deficiency. At least as far as what goes for mainstream nutritional info, iron can easily be gotten from many sources common to the western diet, such as via red meat...... or can it? I was raised a meat eater and continue on in this way to this day despite the general state of disrepair and corruption of our national system of food chain and despite some gradual progress in efforts made in the last year or two in learning how to alter, change and improve the condition known as "diet". This sort of highlights a point being made; many of us have been taught that "deficiency" comes as a result of not regularly consuming enough of a particular something. At least as far as how it relates to poison ivy, it seems i'm walking proof of the misconception.

FWIW, the last time I donated blood the drop in the test tube quickly sank to the bottom the same way it has pretty much all my life; this is an apparent indicator that I am not anemic. Since I regularly consume meat, how can I then be iron deficient? Chances are good the answer is more complicated and more than a simple matter of "eat meat and other high iron foods". More to the point this may be a problem that involves a deficiency in the present level of function and operation of particular systems inside my body that play a part in "take up" - synthesizing and metabolizing whatever food sources I give it through eating. Best I can tell, learning to obey nature when it comes to diet serves to important purposes: 1) it helps the body internally clean and eliminate built-up waste; 2) #1 directly leads to the improvement in the various ways all tthe differeent internal body systems function and operate in harmony which in turn directly leads to the improvemente of what we know generally as health. Everywhere I turn lately, I see warning signs telling me to clean up my diet act. If it were not for CureZone and the many forums therein, like this one, I would probably still be going through life in a health-daze unable to recognize these warning signs. The stumbling block for me seems to be, studying and learning enough about health to recognize such warning signs is not enough, one must also study and learn how to act, to "follow through" with comitment, upon what they have learned. Meantime, thanks for this thread.
