Re: Fatigue & Heat Intolerance from subclinical, stress-induced Thyroid dysfunction
Feo66,
This is good information. I would guess that my adrenals are mostly healed, functional and not "on strike" anymore.
I am extremely grateful for this 'moment of clarity' and renewal of energy... and don't want to mess anything up... or take the wrong support supps or 'fry' anything, God forbid'. Dr. Shames had pretty solid advice (what he suggested worked) but want to get a full thyroid test, iron panel, etc.. and conault with him again.
He DID suggest thyroid support (rosemary, selenium, etc) ... stuff to help the thyroid work on its own...but not thyroid hormones, glandular or drugs when I was in very bad shape. Do you think that is an important difference?
Back then It didn't seem to hurt...but I was so messed up it was hard to tell what was doing what.
Now I do feel very slightly wired now on the kelp, rosemary & selenium... but i feel very good...maybe its just what being normal feels like after weeks of
Depression or low t3. music sounds good and joyful, colors look beautiful, its a pleasure to keep the house picked up rather than a drag. I will monitor my condition closely and get medical advice.
I just want to call up everyone and say "I'm back! Let's have fun." And get back in the yoga studio. But I'm a little tentative.
I do NOT want a crash of any kind,.,for any reason... any advice with the kind of herbal / mineral thyroid support I'm on, Feo?
