I too have low zinc and suffer mainly with slow healing, intermittent acne, dull hair...not sure what other symptoms i have are due to low zinc.

I read recently that white spots are commonly thought to be zinc deficiency, but often they are indicative of arsenic toxicity OR liver/kidney problems.
I have white spots which come and go, and my hair test showed a level of arsenic.
Water supply and rice can have high levels of arsenic in them. I eat rice as if it's going out of fashion! I cook it differently now and am awaiting a kit to test the brand i use to test arsenic levels, aswell as test my spring water for arsenic.

What was your arsenic level on your hair test?
