It sure sounds like shingles (I just came out of a bout of that in June).
Are you having any other symptoms, like slight fever? That is an odd place
to have the pain--it is normally in the trunk (anywhere from the buttocks/
hips up to the shoulder/base of neck area). This is interesting--the
chiropractor I went to for this problem told me he had 3 recent cases of
shingles, and these were not elderly people. Another woman told me her
mother just had gotten over it (age 53) and someone they knew, age 33, was
