Re: Mirena Issues
It's your body - not the doctors. Demand to get it out! I just walked into a clinic and didnt have an appointment or anything, and just got it out - simple. Seriously, demand it is taken out - say you want to try for another baby - who cares. It's your body.
I have had mine out for just over two years. I had it in for four years. It took me a good 10 months to feel "me" again. However I lost 6kgs in two weeks of it out. I am a vegetarian and had never put on weight ever before in my life. My sore breasts and cramping that I experienced 24/7 with Mirena, went immediately. Some of the other problems took longer.
I crashed badly three times over the ten month period, with bouts of aches and pains, insomnia, sinus issues, pains, dry mouth, breathing issues, loose stools, sore ribs, sore neck, furry tongue, dry eyes, anxiety and feelings of doom. I am probably 99% better now, but still have problems before my period.
Some people don't crash, some do. I had silicone poisoning from Mirena, so it's taken me ages to recover. You may be one fo the lucky ones and be right as rain immediately. Fingers crossed.
Just remember to eat healthy after removal, take Vitamin B, avoid caffeine in all forms, try and avoid alcohol, take magnesium, drink chamomile tea, exercise if you can, take Calcium and D and be good to yourself. These were little things that helped me.
You will be fine - just get it out - demand it...!!!!!! Mirena, Implanon and Depo are all really bad, infact most BC is doing us damage. No more ever again for me, I have learnt my lesson :-)
