Re: Could Mirena cause this?

I had the Mirena put in 2 years ago. For the first 9 months I had severe cramping at that time of the month, and pain during sexua| intercourse. The painful intercourse was on and off, and not excruciating. Now I have gone about a year without noticing it's even there. Intercourse mostly fine. Just 5 days ago I started having a pain in my abdomen on the left side when I walk or do certain movements, as well as during sex. This time way more painful that last year (during intercourse). Just a week prior I started biking a lot more than usual, which may have exacerbated it. My chiropractor (who specializes in womens health)felt around on my abdomenom and we found that the iliopsoas muscle was where the worst pain was. I googled my symptoms and found something called iliopsoas bursitis and iliopsoas tendonitis (each have similar symptoms and treatments.) I have many of the symptoms of this. I feel like the Mirena is the initial cause of this muscle pain. I have also have had a lot of fatique and weak legs for many months now, as well as low back and sacrum pain. Yesterday I had a pelvic exam and an ultrasound (but not a diagnostic one). I just had the kind that shows if the Mirena is in place. It showed that the Mirena is where it is supposed to be, and the pelvic exam went well. They said I was fine, but I didn't leave feeling fine. Left in tears with no answers which is almost worse than finding out something bad. Obviously something is wrong. Painful sex is not normal. Upon research, I found that iliopsoas bursitis/tendonitis can cause pain in the reproductive organs because the nerves and ganglia runs right through there. Now the question is, is this all because of the Mirena? Or did I just overdo it biking? Do they have to do with each other? Is it both? If I still have the pain after a couple more days, I will go get an actual "diagnostic ultrasound" which will show much more. Any body have any input? Very frustrated and emotional right now. Thanks.
