I see...

I have 5 g of pure elemental Iodine. Can I ingest this? What should the dose be?

Are you saying only 1500-2000mg total of Iodine is needed in the body?

So by taking, say 250 mg per day of this elemental Iodine, for 8 days, it should effectively displace the bromides?
