I know what you mean. I've tried fasting on several occasions, especially over the past year or so and I often end up giving up myself by the end of the first day. I did make it 72 hours toward the end of last year on a lemonade fast. They always say that once you get past the first three days, it gets easier. I'm not sure if you're tried fasting much before or not. One suggestion I have is, if you haven't tried it before, maybe start with and easier type of fast, fresh fruit and / or vegetable juice for instance. Something else I like to do to get into a fast - try not to eat a heavy meal the night before you start. Like, it's better to eat a smaller meal the night before and get done eating early, maybe by 6 or 7 pm at the latest. That way, when you go to bed, you'll have all those hours in between that actually start to "begin" your fast. Then in the morning, it won't be as difficult to abstain from food. Your stomach will already be smaller. That's one trick I've found that works!
