This is kind of gross but apparently a popular Roman dish (modern, not ancient Rome) is pasta with a sauce made from chyme from a calf's intestines (Rigatoni con la Pagliata). Apparently it's made from calves that haven't yet weaned off their mother's milk, so I would think it would be loaded with beneficial bacteria. It's a bit extreme but it's interesting that chyme is apparently edible and palatable, obviously MUCH the opposite of feces.
P.S. - Apparently chyme is loaded with beneficial bacteria. According to this study from last year, 84 species of bacteria were isolated from bovine chyme samples and screened as potential probiotics (for animals in this study, not humans). Apparently Bacillus samples performed the best.
