Re: Cancer Warnings
I believe if the L glutamine was given in moderation there may not have been a problem. Yes, L glutamine is a factor in cancer growth. Cancer thrives on glucose, hence getting rid of refined
Sugar sources; yet one of the reasons there is muscle mass loss in late stages when cancer is rapidly spreading, the L Glutamine in the muscles is the cause. As the cancer progresses it needs to have more energy and gets it where it can.
So, if you used L Glutamine in moderation, enough to keep the muscle mass from being depleted, you are accomplishing one good task, keeping the muscle mass, but one bad, you are feeding the cancer. Yet in this scenario, the patient still will have a fighting chance; you have to keep the body intact best you can. A very conscientious doctor explained this to us when he saw my daughter. Her muscle mass was already being depleted but as we gave her small amounts, it stopped. After the cancer was dealt with, we saw muscle mass starting to return.
It is all a balancing act. And I do agree, two many cooks in the kitchen will indeed spoil the soup. Many do not want to believe, perhaps for cost sake, but when you have one entity, doctor or clinic, overseeing the treatment protocol your chances are raised. Good alternative clinics are experienced in their protocols and have the experience and expertise to understand what to take, what not to and how much of it all. You cannot throw everything at the cancer like a shotgun; it has to be many weapons but you need a good 'general' if you will, to orchestrate the attack. When you are talking about your life, the cost of a general is worth every penny. I have found that for less than a cheap new car, you can have your life. We would buy that car, finance even, but we hesitate about paying a 'general'[doctor or clinic].
