Re: Metametrix stool test, quick question
A big mistake many many is to take dietary supplements right up to the point of stool testing. They spend big $$ and then get results back that are confusing to say the least, and they often get "false negative" results, implying the results were affected by the supplements they took.
Correct, take NO garlic, Vitamin C, but tumeric as part of your diet (like a curry) if you normally eat it is fine. Garlic is OK too, if you eat it cooked as part of your meal and have done so for some time. But if you have been eating raw garlic, or take it as a supplement, stop for a week before testing. Common sense.
Yes, I believe that the doctors are right in your country, enema material is NOT suitable for a stool test. It was not "passed" by you when it was ready to be passed out, it was "flushed" out instead and is not suitable for analysis for a comprehensive stool test.
