Re: Question About Liquid Ivermectin-I Need Some Help...

Pinworms don't turn into strongyloides, and it depends on what country you are in as to what strongyloides are called. Pinworms in the U.S. are enterobius and strongyloides stercoralis is threadworm. In the UK, enterobius is called threadworm and strongyloides is called pinworm.

So enterobius and strongyloides are two different worms, the main difference being that strongyloides can reproduce inside your body and enterobius can't. Enterobius is larger than strongyloides. You CAN have both, and many people do. Strongyloides are about 1/10 to 2/10 inches long (females are larger)and look a lot like grains of sand. Enterobius are 1/4 to 1/2 inch long (females also larger) and look like little bits of thread.

If your worms are coming out of your bum at night to reproduce, it's likely enterobius. If they are migrating throughout your body, it is likely strongyloides although enterobius can migrate, but they will die because they can't reproduce.

The only way to tell which is which is under a microscope, and then usually only size tells the story.
