raw vs. cooked veggies?

Hello,

I'm confused....some say raw is easiest to digest because of all the enzymes. Some say cooked is more bioavailable. I know Dr. Wilson recommends cooked, but this seems to be because raw is more 'yin,' and aren't most of us AFers yin deficient after a lifetime of stress buildup? I did a raw foods cleanse before my AF symptoms set in, and it felt great, and also helped me with some chronic swelling issues. But, like I said, that was before the AF!

(As an aside, I also am having a hard time figuring out digestive issues because I went through chemo a few years ago and my digestion, once rock solid, has never been the same since.)

Anyway, I would love to hear people's experiences with raw vs cooked. Also:

Dr. Wilson doesn't seem to hate veggie juicing. Maybe a small glass of green juice and then cooked veggies the rest of the day would be the best of both worlds? Or what about doing the cooked, but taking digestive enzymes with them to get the good effects of the raw diet?

Thanks!
