Me and Queenie the Cat

Queenie the cat has been a little sick lately. Symptoms
are lethargic, diarrhea, weight loss, doesn't seem like
herself. 11 Years old. Anyway, took her to the "vet". She did blood work and said she's "hyper" thyroid, and advised a med, which I havn't given her. Anyway, I told the vet I've been giving her iodine, which she responded I was killing Queenie, and I was the one who made her sick with the iodine. uuugh.

Anyway cat and animal lovers help me out. My understanding
is hyper or hypo both are Iodine deficiencies, and iodine
generally stabilizes t4 and other levels (I believe the
vet said her level was "7"... she said anything above 4
was abnormal). They did test for paracites. So what path
should I follow? Iodine. Co-supplements like people? I've seen herbal formulas specific to cats for thyroid problems? Its a little tricky because we have 4 cats altogether, and the other cats will eat Queenie's food with iodine/supplements in it.

thanks
