A physician friend who worked in 3rd world countries said there is usually a protocol to prevent parasites in families, because they are rampant and difficult to eradicate. When coming home, shoes come off and house slippers come on. In south america, they also changed clothes when they came home. While here in the US a friend of mine is a nurse in OR at the veterans administration, she follows a procedure like this. Its hard though because our culture is very body ignorant, compared to say Germany, where the average person considers the stool similar to the way we watch our weight. My sister, who works in healthcare in Texas, was unable to get her husband and son to cooperate when her son came home with headline. They were simply ignorant. And it cost them a lot when it could have been minimal if all had cooperated... SAD! We don't do prevention here, only repair....
