Re: Wiley Brooks live interview on right now
in a not totally unrelated news story, about 2 weeks ago I found a web article touting the merits of Wendy's Corp deciding to re-arrange how they market some of their most typical fare. What was once known as Biggie Size will now be marketed as Medium Size, what was once Medium will now be marketed as Small. Somewhere in all of this the corp dorfs actually admitted publicly without hesitation that their intention was to appease burger shack critics' impression of the health factor in how Wendy's had been marketing it's stuff heretofor. Apparently such critics had recently been critical of Wendy :( Yes, believe it or not, there apparently is a genre of beat journalists out there who's job it is to create MM-type literature from the fast food scenario. In a way it seems fitting that fast food taken in through one's mouth deserves company of fast food taken into one's brain..... yes, of course, that taken in through one's mouth may eventually end up in the brain, but media is a much more direct route :) Long story short, the new Small size will contain the same quantity as the former Medium, the new Medium will contain the same quantity of the former Biggie. Help me out here, can anyone confirm that the former biggie-size provides one close to 30 ounces of pop (okay, maybe 20 ounces pop, 10 ounces of frozen tap water)? I can imagine that at least in the beginning, this will create some confusion for drive-thru patrons who end up getting/eating and paying for more than what they intended, and while this may not ultimately bode well for their long term health, it apparently will bode well for the literary greats who's job it is to write about and critique such stuff......stuff one might even say is a bit wiley ;)
PS - there is a whole world waiting out there to acclimate one's self to toxins. Sample - wake up in the morning, walk outside, breath in deep, you've just begun acclimating. I'm not suggesting this is always bad, air is kind of important, so we are sort of required to take with it whatever particulates it may be harboring. This forum in general is about how to make this a more enjoyable act (through better health) despite the inherent hazards therein. To graduate a level, stay outside for extended time to allow one's body to marinate in the sea of toxins present in the nearby atmosphere pretty much anywhere usa as well as anywhere Earth. It seems the healthier one is, the more enjoyment, pleasure, benefit and less risk there is from such activity that nonetheless inherently involves risk to one's well being......ironic. It sounds/seems apparent that taking in fast food as a method to acclimate is not for the toxic novice but moreso an advanced method for someone who's already been acclimated to toxins for quite some time. Not that I would ever advocate such, but take someone like MOG who's recently done the difficult task of large-scale un-acclimating for 108 days, ingesting the aforementioned acclimation menu would be akin to flirting with taking one's own life.
