I think all of us have chemical sensitivities. Best thing to do is tell your doctor/surgeon that you typically have adverse reactions to medications. My last visit to the hospital they gave me lidocaine to numb my esophagus, which I thought was going to kill me given my track record of sensitivities, but surprisingly I was fine with it. Even healthy people without AF can react to meds and anesthetics. I imagine you're going to the hospital to have this procedure done, and if you do have a reaction of some sort its the best place to be anyway.
