Re: What am I dealing with?
Hi there,
I've done a few rounds of albendazole, and for longish periods, and I have to say, it works, but the worms are still there, albeit a much smaller number than before, and I think after a few longish rounds of it, it is no longer effective for me. I really don't know if the drugs will irradicate them in totality, forever. I think a broad spectrum and long term approach is needed.. I'm wondering whether you zap as well? It would be good to add this to your routine and get your immune system functioning well with a good diet etc. It also might be a good idea to swap with mebendazole which works in the digestive tract and see how that goes.
Have you been taking a magnesium supplement? Sometimes low magnesium levels can cause twitches which feel like parasites... this might make you feel like you've got a whole lot more (parasites) than what you actually do. Restless legs is often because of low levels of iron. Might be another thing you may want to look at. Many of us taking zinc supplements for example which are good for
parasite control often forget that zinc can interfere with iron absorption and cause restless leg syndrome.
That's new to me about cortisol being protective... I actually thought it was the other way around... that high cortisol exaccerbates
parasite infection.. can you clarify where you read this? I'd be interested to get clarification on that.
