Re: candida symptoms worse after coming off of diflucan?
I have treated many women like you with chronic vaginal yeast infection, some I've seen have been on Diflucan for ten years or more - true. A complete and utter waste of time. You will not only need to address your diet and "take pills", you will need to treat the vaginal yeast infection pre and post menstrually as well as treat it between the period when you have peak levels of discomfort. There is NO mention of your lifestyle or the stresses you are living under, and lifestyle and diet account for 80% of treatment. Dietary supplements account for the remainder. Your frustration and stresses of continually trying to beat this thing add to your stress and ultimate immune dysfunction, a very common scenario.
You can beat this thing, but need to do what it takes to achieve this, and I've found that in most instances that only a partial recovery occurs - because the underlying causes are not (or incompletely) addressed. I sense your frustration, and once a person talks of "giving up" their immune system does as well, and they keep going back to the drugs.
The definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over, you know the rest.. Keep in touch and let me know how you go.
