Is TMAU based on a hormonal deficiency?
Hi,
I think I have issues with choline based foods, eggs, milk, beans, fish, etc. Would cause a horrible fecal or fishy odor. I say think because I have not been able to test for it by a doctor. Nevertheless, as I felt I was on my own, I did a lot of research.
I finally came across Maca. I bought Organic Maca. (I realize I must be very careful with Maca because it raises your blood pressure.) I noticed that I must exercise everyday otherwise my feet swell. (A sign of high blood pressure) But, I have been regulating the amount I take. So, I started out with a tablespoon, a day which was way too much for me. I have gone to 1/4 tsp every other day and that seems ok. I have not had the odor problem since. I tried eating eggs, but have not tried any of the other choline foods. I am taking it slowly.
So, I am just wondering if anyone thinks that this is issue might be hormonal as Maca is known to regulate hormonal.
