All the military boys that are considered important have passes to military bunkers that have the warning that once the doors go shut you may not walk out again for many years. My aunts husband spent 21 years in "first alert" and had such a pass, he said he would NEVER GO. 1 year after he was out of the military he dropped dead with something in his brain ruptured! The military fought him on his retirement, it took him almost 2 years to get out after he told them HE QUIT, then he died in the prime of his health shortly after they let him free. Your most likely better off staying in the system once you have spent so many years, the big boys do not like letting their kind return to civilian life and spreading rumors of what the military life is all about.
