I actually had these a couple of years ago, looked at them under a magnifying glass with a light and freaked cause they looked like a snake skin.

It was the same time I had a definate roundworm infection, so I was thinking all sorts of things. I never figured it out.....but later noticed that if I ate potatoes with skins, even like french fries or wedges, I would get a few of the same things. Not always. So although I don't know what mine or yours are, they do look like potato skins.
