Maybe this "iodine-induced cytotoxicity in thyroid" is just a symptom of vitamin E deficiency.

Give people with iodine-induced cytotoxicity in thyroid some vitamin E, and it goes away.

So its not really "iodine-induced", rather "induced by lack of vitamin E" because of people's poor dietary habits. Iodine isn't the culprit, its their crappy habits that lead to diets that are def. in Vit. E. Yeah.
