Re: hi, anyone else fasting, want to be buddies?
hi!!!
let me hear from you again!
i started a fast but lost it on about day 3 due to inexperience/lack of focus/not checking in for support.../having other stuff going on...
still, i have some good news...
i have now after a lot of struggle achieved a committed raw food only diet for life and this took a lot of work. for 3 years i was eating processed food, relapsing from a "food sobriety" of raw foods only diet that i had maintained for 2 yrs prior to that (may 2008 to may 2010... then may 2010 to may 6 2013 i ate processed foods, with may 6 of this yr -- 8 days ago -- being the last day i will ever, god willing, ingest non-raw food... it presents a sobriety issue for me as alcohol does for the alcoholic and i have to keep likewise a day count of days sober and find creative ways to stay food-sober...
i have 8 days on this diet and tmw will go to a super-low calorie diet hoping to phase into fasting. not pressuring myself since that non-pressure will have the best results...
my new way of life also is to keep my comfort/escape eating in check by always doing certain things to meet my life needs BEFORE doing any eating in a day... i have a checklist... i cannot eat anything until 5 hours have elapsed since waking up and also i have completed my checklist of things to do to meet my life-needs...... it prevents me from trying to meet my needs with food...
so i am moving toward achieving fasting, totally unreservedly committed to raw food only now and i very much hope committed to keeping a max of 500 calories a day till i am well... this is similar to a fast, as close as i can get right at this moment but i do intend to achieve actual fasting after "training up" to it in this way...
i am really looking forward to feeling so much better as i always do on the low cal diet, and best of all when fasting.
