Re: reflexolgy might give you some insight...

actually, yes. Sorry, these feet are 'backwards'. You can see the heart is only on 'one foot' as is the liver-- but, in reflexology, you must work on both feet, one at a time, in order that the whole body stays balanced.(otherwise, things tend to move for one side to another.) What you can do is work on massaging the feet first, just gently rolling them between your hands. Rolling each toe, sort of piching the tips, and so on...You can use a bit of oil too. Then, if you have a pencil with an eraser on the end, this is about the right size and density to sort of ( gently but firmly) 'dig' into any tender spots you find. When you find one, press gently but firmly for several seconds, and then softly massage. Remember to breathe and 'let go' of any tension. Most people find that the liver area has some tenderness intitially. Go easy, don't do too much at once, for you don't want to stir things up too fast.

There are lots of books on this..and it might be worth looking for one from the library. Can you see what the spot relates to, in terms of these diagrams?

edit:
Ah yes. I see you said shoulder and eye areas. Eyes are related also to liver.
And the liver/gallbladder system may be related too, to the shoulder in your case.

Don't neglect the neack and the whole spine.
If you visualize the two feet images side by side, the spine runs down the middle.
(so, the heart on the left, liver on the right..) To view it in this way, you can see why it's important to treat both feet the same.

Anyway, why not give yourself a nice fairly gentle treatment. You can do it daily, if you don't get too roug) It's important though, not to work on just one area, as all areas are related. So, do the one foot. Then, the other.
