Very easy. The cure is so difficult because you need an active cell-mediated immunity to eradicate the infection. Since the organism (candida albicans ) has many resources to paralyzes the required immunity to clear the infection, your battle against the infection is with antifungals only because the immune system is doing nothing.

As you probably know, the immune system is the main weapon to battle an infection and medicines only help it to achieve it.
