Dr Simon Yu

I've been reading a lot about Dr Yu's practice. I live fairly close to St. Louis, thinking I'm going to make an appointment.
I've noticed the testimonies I've read never mention a definitive diagnosis. Are his treatments based primarily on symptoms? I know he does some other things like hair test, but does he ever order any serum tests to verify his suspicions?
