Wommie, OT, but wanted to address something you said.

MAN uses God's word to make their women afraid. We ARE "unclean" when we're menstruating. I learned this from my atheistic-infertility doctor back in 1986. Those were the days when I didn't want to have ANYthing to do with biblical stuff, and it took an atheist to get me back interested in the Word. It was one of those, "OH!-That-explains-a-lot!" moments for me.

OK, men, I'm gonna get graphic here. Our cervical mucous IS our germ barrier, and it is not really available when we're menstruating. That, and the ANGLE of our cervix and the THICKNESS of the skin inside there are ALL very important features of the woman's shall-we-say 'interior' region.

Anyhoo, it's during the bleeding cycle that we're unclean. The doctor told me he always advises against intercourse when we're bleeding because we're definitely NOT at our germ-killing best. When we have loads of cervical mucous available (the clear-egg-white lubrication for men and health-conscious teens who want to know) is when we are at our germ-killing best.

The interesting part of sperm is that it's carrier, the semen ejaculate, also has an anti-immune quality to it. THAT'S why the skin is so darn thick (and angled) in a woman's cervix. It's to protect the rest of her body from the anti-immune quality of the ejaculate and why the ejaculate can drain OUT after intercourse. The reason why we can get pregnant at all, I mean, why our cervical mucous doesn't also kill the sperm itself, is because there are parallel rows of space within our mucous that form direct paths for the sperm to follow right to the target, that little egg, when we're ovulating.

God loves us. The bible is true. It's MAN who screws up the word and misinterprets it to "keep women in line". I did ask the doctor if it's safe at all to have sex (cuz hubby didn't have a problem with me bleeding and I wanted him to remain happy) the doc said, "Tell him I said try to hold back, OR, take a good shower with anti-bacterial soap beforehand."

An "abomination" is simply something that can KILL the body. That's (also) why sodomy is bad. Even men and women shouldn't do it because the anti-immune quality of the ejaculate can (eventually) kill the body. The skin in there is too thin, AND - it can't drain out so easily.
