Most of what your going to find as American is going to be garden ginseng and about 3 years old. Even if it says wild crafted, it will still only be grown under some trees in the same manner. The wild ones that the dealers buy for $90 a pound goes over seas or the last one I seen selling it in the USA was for over $700 a pound about 10 years ago. You will never see 20-50 year old roots turned into powder or sold in the USA that I know of. In my state the very few coon buyers would also buy the ginseng, but they are all gone now, coon is considered just a pest now.
