Tomatoes from my garden are a "dream come true". This winter I have started some of my new collection of heirloom non-hybrid varieties and organic, of course. Nothing could keep me from starting a tomato plant, even if I had just a container on a balcony ! I like to try ancient varieties and different sizes and colors. If all goes well, will experiment a white one this year, unless white is in the name only (never know really until you try). Two years ago, I bought plants from the nursery: enormous yellow tomatoes with absolute great taste, all in flesh and not watery... WOW !
Saved the seeds and when started again, didn't give as well so that's a good reason to stick to non-hybrid.
On your marks everyone, do yourself a f(l)avor, plant a seed.
