Seeing it from a photographers view; the blood is not shown, as the ground is covered by people in the first shots. The bomb hit low. Splashing all to the ground.
A photography can lie, or cover up, as it only show one angle of a situation.

People in traumatic shock tend to do strange things, like putting their sunglasses on, or checking their nail polish.
- I have seen similar things first hand. It is probably a way of distracting ourself from a severe trauma.
