Lugol's works. There are not so many reports of Iodoral.
Any competent pharmacist should know Lugol's as "aqueous solution of iodine"; you might need to specify 5% I 10% KI 85% distilled water.
I believe that the other supplements are a very good idea to avoid problems - they are there in the Iodine protocol to correct proven dietary deficiencies in the U.S.A. YMMV.
Correcting your diet helps a lot, paleolithic diet works for many.
