Hi all, I'm new to Curezone. I registered some time ago but this is the first time I'm posting and am hoping to get some advice.
Recently I found out that I have one large uterine fibroid of more than 8cm. The gyne recommended surgery, but as one who's somewhat disillusioned and skeptical with conventional medicine, I asked for some time to think. My next appointment is in 6 months' time.
I did not expect to have fibroid as I do not have the usual symptoms of heavy menses, bloating, etc. However, I've observed that I'm having difficulty holding my bladder, and recently my bowel movements have been affected too.
Since childhood I've been underweight and have suffered from constipation, but apart from that I'm fairly healthy with no major medical complaints except for dry eyes, ocassional stiff shoulders, and also insomnia (waking up at night, usually at least once due to heat or sometimes the need to urinate).
After searching some journal articles, I've decided to supplement with curcumin and green tea extract based on the good results in vitro and in vivo on fibroids. I did search on other supplements e.g. proteolytic enzymes and DIM, but haven't found any papers or genuine-sounding anecdotal comments about their effectiveness. I found a lot of advertisments and gimmicks instead. However, I'm amazed to read of many ladies with success using
Iodine on curezone. Now my main questions are:
1. Should I use
Iodine in liquid or pill form? I'm from Southeast Asia and I expect most supplements to be unavailable locally. Iherb ships international and has Iodoral but at 12.5mg. Which are the most effective brands to use for my case, Lugol's, Trapper's, Iodoral, etc?
2. What is the dosage I should start at and when should I increase dosage?
3. I've greasy,
Acne prone skin and am constantly plagued with pimples. Should I take a supplement such as zinc? If so, what is the dosage?
4. Can I use
Iodine with curcumin and green tea extract? I would really like to shrink the fibroid down as soon as I can as it's affecting my basic body processes. Perhaps I should use liquid iodine and paint it on my tummy?
Many thanks in advance for any advice. I feel a little scared by the size of the fibroid and confused by all the information. Sorry for the super long post and thanks once again.
