"It is important for everyone to know that elemental Iodine is poisonous when orally consumed."
Nobody consumes elemental Iodine orally. It is always present as Iodide ion, or in the case of Lugol solution, the tri-iodide ion.
Toxic substances have an LD-50 value associated with them, which is the amount administered to a small population of test subjects that causes 50% of the test subjects to die.
Where's can one find in bona fide literature, the LD-50 for Iodide and tri-iodide for humans ??
We searched and searched but were unable to find even a single case of death by Iodine anywhere. It is the opposite that is true: lack of iodine is a cause of a myriad of health problems.
