High cholesterol even after liver flushes and diet control, should I take crestor or do more flushes ?
Hello everyone,
I have been working on lowering my cholesterol numbers. Your opinion is greatly needed.
My Details:
Age 35
Height:5.7
6 months back my numbers were
Weight 148 lbs
HDL 40
LDL 190
Thyroid was overactive i.e. TSH level is below normal
Doctor suggested me to go for crestor 20mg drug, once a day. Thyroid and liver ultrasound reports were normal.
I thought of curing myself naturally and without statin drugs because the numbers were not that "alarming" high.
I learnt about various cleansings on curezone and tried
Liver Flush twice in last six months, followed by kidney/colon/
parasite cleansings.
In first
Liver Flush it was around 200
Gallstones out and in second stones was relatively less but more yellowish liquid stuff (I thought it was bile).
I did not do it again thinking stones are more or less cleaned and i must work on my diet. I worked drastically on my diet also and ate almost 100% raw (Fruits, Veggies, Nuts and Sprouts) for nearly a month.
3-4 days on water fasted. I increased my exercise (mainly running). After doing all these, I get my blood work done again. My current numbers are now:
Weight 133 lbs
HDL 43
LDL 160
Thyroid was overactive i.e. TSH level is below normal
I am badly disappointed after seeing the numbers and doctor is again suggesting me to go for medication (Crestor). He is saying
Liver Flushes and all those diet control may be useful but not scientifically proven. In my case it is genetically not about the diet. The genes are causing this and changing diet and life style will not help much in lowering these numbers.
Also on positive notes, you probably may see the results after a year or so after these flushes , but in the meantime to reduce the risk to heart attack take medicine.
Please help me and suggest me what can i do further to lower these numbers, I have a family and I don’t want to be victim of any Hrt Attack. At the same time
i don’t want to kill my liver permanently by these statin drugs. I am also planning to go for at least 15-30 days "plain water fasting", I don’t know if it is going to help or not.
Please let me know your opinion and share your experiences.
Thanks in advance
