I had already posted a picture about what my lips looked like before and it was pretty ugly. Anyway, moisturizing is a good way until the affection disappears.
With objectivity, it's not that complicated, no more, no less than a fast desquamation.
In my case, I just use a balm and trim flakes which come off, -anyway I consider it is better, otherwise I could involuntarily peel the skin while dabbing my balm- so my lips look completely normal.
Don't peel your lips, even gently. Avoiding trauma remains the main key of healing.
